I agree that most girls who aren't secure w/themselves are generally the ones who "bag" on the "undeserving" winners the most. But sometimes the results do prompt people to think whether the whole competition is fixed. Afterall it is a beauty pageant. And the recent winners are widely agreed upon not to be the prettiest (even far from it). The judges' decisions make me wonder what they are really looking for in a winner. I think the HK pageant judges should make looks a priority in their decisions and then look for well-roundedness within that. If not, then it's not a beauty pageant. Instead the show becomes more of a talent or speech contest. Although I can imagine how much courage and confidence it must take to speak publicly with a skimpy bikini on, it doesn't mean one can speak fluently & answer questions gracefully and be automatically considered a beauty queen.
