Early Sunday morning, Lucy awoke to the lovely sounds of some idiot on the telly, trying to sell idiotic items to idiots that were watching and were, well...idiotic enough to buy them. She took the remote out of Tony's hand, and turned off the television.

"Incorrigible." Lucy sighed.

Instead of the expected silence, she heard the dulcet tones of Tony and Christopher snoring in slightly dissonant harmony. Lucy got up quietly and hid the remote...she'd have to remember to find it again after she and Tony were settled into their own room, where she could hide that remote instead.

Lucy quickly and quietly made herself presentable, and went down to the front desk. The honeymoon suite was indeed ready -- earlier than usual. Lucy hoped that Phil and Lily Craven wouldn't mind the way she threw their names about when she first negotiated the room. After all, it was the hotel's mistake, and it was only a matter of time before Lucy, Tony and Chris actually would know the Cravens personally. They were already family friends anyway. It was more than just a stroke of good luck that this was the hotel that many of the Texaroo staff had stayed in and used for early business meetings...Lucy had indeed done her homework.

She returned to the room. It was really Christopher's room now...and quietly removed most of her and Tony's luggage into the new room, except for things that Tony would need to dress. Lucy prided herself in her ability to make things happen...and all before either of her companions so much as stirred.

**************

Paul had been telling Carol about more of his relatives arriving from England. Studs was becoming quite the international hub lately, and it would seem that most of the influx was from Paul and Chantal's extended family.

"More family, Paul? I didn't think you had the space!" Carol smiled.

"I don't! But not to worry -- they're staying at a hotel!"
Paul replied. "Now where is Chantal? Chantal! She knows we have to get back! You wouldn't believe how excited she is to see Tony and Lucy again, and when she heard Chris was coming as well...she practically ransacked the house trying to find the books he'd sent her over the years...I think she found most of them too!"

Carol laughed. "Oh Paul, there's nothing like a family reunion! I come from a big family, and it's always so much fun getting us all together. The more the merrier, you know?"

Paul grinned. "If you're not doing anything today -- would you like to join us?"

"Really?! With all those people in the house?! Well, sure, if you'd like me to! I've gotta go home and change, then I'll be right over!"

Delighted, Carol got into her car and drove off. Paul looked around the parking lot, then went back toward the church. He was beginning to think that maybe he could start forming a meaningful relationship with Carol. After all, they were already friends, and Chantal was older now, and hopefully more equipped to handle it...and so far, Lydia's side of the family was fine with it. Paul knew that his dating could be difficult on many different levels, but for the first time in years, he honestly entertained the possibility. Chantal came up behind him. "Why are we just standing here, Daddy? Let's go home!"

*****************

Chris got up -- a bit reluctantly. He still felt achy and weak, but the nausea seemed to be gone, and he didn't want to miss anything else if he could help it. He was determined to give it a go. Slowly. Tony was already up and ready, and impatient. He was anxious to get a feel for this place, not to mention to check out more of what he considered his competition. They were going down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Lucy continued to fuss over Chris, which he and Tony both found annoying.

Lucy rambled on frenetically. "Are you sure you're up to going, Chris? I know you're still sick, so if you just want to stay in bed today, I'm sure Winnie will understand. There's no need to push yourself..."

"Right!" Tony added. "You'll only slow us down anyway..."

"You're no help, Tony!" Lucy interrupted. "It'll be hot and uncomfortable, Chris, so I want you to let me know if you need to go back..."

"LUCY, STOP TREATING ME LIKE YOUR BLOODY PATIENT!!!" Chris finally snapped. "I AM NOT DYING!!!"

Lucy fell silent. Tony glared at the two of them. Christopher felt immediately guilty. He continued more gently. "I appreciate your concern, love, really...but I feel much better. I'm alright to get out for a bit. Unless you don't want me along..." he pouted slightly.

"Of course, I want you along..." Lucy responded after a lengthy pause.

"Fine!" Tony said, losing patience. "Are we going now, or would you prefer to meet me down there when you're quite finished?"
