Sorry, CC! I stopped in too! I must have missed dq by seconds. I spent a major part of yesterday writing and posting the newest chapter to my LOTR's story, and by the time chat time came around I was fried.

I did stay on the chat site for about 20 minutes and when no one showed, I logged off the internet and went upstairs to watch TV with the kids...well actually fall asleep. :)

While I was waiting on line, however, I had on the Biography Channel- my sneak peak selection for the week in place of Hallmark from the hours of 7pm to 7 am. grrr!!!

I have enjoyed BC though. Last night they did some episodes on cult stars and Jane Seymour was one of them. She was known during the 70's and 80's as the queen of the mini series. I've never really appreciated how beautiful Jane actually is and how versatile her appearance was during this time in her career. She played a concentration camp survivor and also Wallace Simpson to Anthony Andrews (I believe) King Edward. I never realized that was her in the role. And then they showed one of my all time favorite 70's miniseries "Captains and the Kings" in which she played the Protestant girl, who Perry King's Irish Catholic character, falls in love with.

I was a little disgruntled when they came to the "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" years that they didn't interview any of her costars especially Joe Lando. They did show many wonderful pictures from the time, but even the segment they used for the Biography was minus Joe. It was the one from season six involving the Chinese girl posing as a boy who wanted to become a doctor.

I never realized Jane's been married 4 times or that she is an avid painter and has many different talents. It was a insightful episode, but would have been even better if they had included a few words from Joe and the others. Her only 2 costars, whom they interviewed, were Christopher Reeves from Somewhere in Time, and Tom Selleck from one of her many mini series. I could see Christopher since SIT is a cult favorite, but please Joe should have been there over Tom IMHO!!! They did mention the big campaign to bring back the show, and they also mentioned the loyal internet fan base following that is still present for the show and its characters.

Lastly, I am a little miffed at myself. I wrote myself a note to tape "Mansfield Park" on A&E this Friday night and still *STILL* I forgot to tape it. It is one of the few Jane Austen productions that I've not seen. Waaaa! :)

Take care all, and I try to make it next week for chat too!

Sue

PS: Say hello to Prof. Snape for me! I'm sorry I missed out on what this week's assignment is. He always comes up with the most interesting homework! :)
