Hi,
I've downloaded a img file but unable to mount it. I've try DiskCopy, Stuffit and Toast, too, but none of it sucess. It said it has "no mountable file systems", or somekind of error 95....
anybody know if there is any tool that I can make this img file works?

Your .img file might be corrupted. It got corrupted during downloading. Try downloading the file again.

I think NortonUtilities maybe.. by using its Disk Doctor. But I still feel that you can't repair the file coz some of it 'components' are missing. Norton or other utilities can't make up for the missing components.

Maybe you should ask your friends who uses leased internet line or broadband internet to download the file for you...

if it was made in OS X ...then it extension should read (.dmg).

anyway try using Disk Copy in (appication>utilities folder) and try do a disc checksum . :-)

...If the verify checksum failed... i guess your disc image file (.img) is corrupted.

got the same problem. I wonder if anyone solved this one. Can't open an IMG file. will try toast, possible it was made with it and wondering if maybe the OS system was Jaguar, I am still at X.1.5

hi, did you have any luck mounting those .img files. i was sent two of these myself ostensibly to contain the CDROM TOOL from Macrescue. wouldn't mount on my pulsar clone so i asked the guy what they were --- he replied they were stuffed files --- but stuffit wouldn't unstuff the 'kin stuff. i'm badly stuffed without this tool so if you've any advice plse gi'us a hand, many thanks, jon

CD-ROM TOOLKIT is for your cd-rom drive ...mac clones needs it to use cd drive ...maybe you should use the latest stuff it version... i think stuff it expander is free.. check out its website
