Hi Sam,
This might be bit late but anyway..

I have using macs since 1993. Worms and viruses has never troubled my mac before.I do use internet, email everyday and worms and viruses has never infected my computer. I don't use any virus protection software. Some times I do worry about MS Word macro virus but it has not infected my computer yet.
