I went on e-bay and came across a 1 year old iBook. I'm quite certain that I've actually placed the winning bid @ RM1,978.00!

As I'm almost PC illiterate, could someone please help by pointing out the repercussions (if any) of purchasing a second-hand laptop? Also, is the price alright for the age and specifications stated? I've copied the seller's advertisement as follows:

I've purchased this iBook initially for some graphical design usage, but rarely used it at all. It is in pristine condition, good as new. The specs are as below: - 800 MHz Power PC G3 processor - 30 GB hard drive - 128 MB SDRAM - DVD-Rom/CD-RW Combo Drive - 12.1" Color display - Built-in 10/100BASE-T ethernet & 56k internal modem - Ready for AirPort wireless networking (AirPort card not included) - 1 FireWire port - 2 USB ports - power adapter - Standard software that comes with the box Also included will be the following accessories: - Incase LBC Laptop carrier (Graphite) - Apple Pro Mouse (White)

Thank you so much in advance. Bid closes on January 26th at 10am.

Hi Cheryl,

I also just bought a used ibook G3, but mine is 900MHz and 40GB come with 2year Apple icare warranty and just bought it last month for rm2500. I think your ibook should be in good condition. There are free seminars being held in MacAsia, a few other places for those new with Apple. Just check them out in the internet. All the best and good luck!!
