Subject: can't view webcams with Yahoo Messenger Author: Carolina [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:41:03 01/23/03 Thu Hi, I have OS 10.2.3 and Yahoo Messenger 2.5.1, and everytime someone invites me to see their webcam or if I choose view friend's webcam, the message "invalid token" appears. I can't remember what the fix was, exactly, but I'll post my settings here so that it might help you to figure it out. ------- Webcam (General): I connect to the internet using: DSLCable Super Webcam Both "Super" modes are enabled. ------- Webcam (Video) Image Quality Faster Speed Image Size Large (320x240) ------- Webcam (Permissions) When someone tries to view my Webcam Always ask for my permission ------- I also have a firewall port for YM. We could see and send video using an iSight camera with a real ethernet connection over DSL. However, I get the "servers are busy" error message all of the time with my new G4 iBook. At first I thought it was the wireless connection but now I have it plugged in to an ethernet cord, so I am not so sure what the problems is. I also reinstalled Yahoo Messenger and restarted and I still get the message. The computer upstairs has a working connection. If I figure out a solution, I will try to remember to post it here. I adjusted some preferences, turned off "super" and changed my camera to a DV cam (because it is one) and when I clicked on start my webcam, everything came up.
