I have to make one for my boat. I could easily make two. I was planning to use sitka or Doug fir, I don't think it matters. I could give you a quote if you're interested. I'm guessing it would be around $1,000. Where are you located? Did I mention I make my living as a cabinet/furniture maker?

I might just take you up on the offer.
I don't imagine removal and refit is beyond me.
I'm in Sidney 20 minutes north of Victoria on Vancouver Island.
When do you plan building yours?
Is it for a Mariner 40?
I would like to see my sprit rebuilt of laminate sitka spruce or douglas fir.
Makes no difference to me.
I can get either on the Island here.
The original took 36 years to start rotting so the original design is fine with me.
