Subject: Philippine mahogany

I have M40 #16, built in 1967. I was told philippine mahogany planking by the previous owner. Having done a fair amount of work on the hull with a couple experienced boatbuilders, both thought it looked like philippine mahogany, but I've never found anything definitive on it.
