Subject: can not shift

Can not move the transmission actuator even tapping with a hammer.
My Mariner 32 just won't shift.
Any suggestions? It has not been used in 5 or 6 years.

had a similar problem on #69. What worked for me was, taking the actuator lever off of the transmission and cleaning up the accumulated rust, and oiling the area. If you do that, be aware there is a spring loaded ball bearing that will need to be caught as you remove the lever.
