Subject: Hull number location on a 1970 32 foot

I have found a mariner 32 derelict in a boat yard and am looking to take ownership of it. The sos wants a hull number and I cant find one at all. We think it is a 1970 and her name is suzie wang. I have read that there is a plack some where but can’t find one, can you help me out?

Mine is carved into the mast support timber facing the v-berth.

thanks for the location details and I found that it is a m32 #24 which is great information to have but I am looking for the vin type number for the hull if you happen to know anything about that location. I read somewhere that boats built before 1972 did not have vin numbers?

Correct !!!

Later year fiberglass boats had their vin stamped (engraved) on the rear quarter close to the hull/deck joint. Your Mariner's vin is #24.
