Does anybody here know the history of Mariner Yachts? That is, when were the various Mariners built, where they were built, and how many of each size were built? I am curious because I just saw a Mariner 40 ketch advertised as a 1985, with a HIN of TYA40008F585.
I believe this translates as a Tayana-built Mariner 40 built in 1985, serial number 8. Is this correct? Did Tayana actually build 40s?
