Subject: Totally, unbelievably, amazing!

Friday night we had a gathering to plan our attack on Alki point to support the Seafair Pirates anual launching of Seafair. (We aren't sailing our Mariner; we're aboard our Force 50) Somehow this guy makes a connection and exclaimes, "You have eeboo! Not many boats with that name." (Not many, non-french speaking people, would know how to pronounce Hibou). We said yes. "I sailed on that boat when I was a kid, every summer." (Right, sure you did, I'm thinking) "Ya, it belonged to my best friend's dad, Dr Goodhugh Livingston." OK, you don't pull a name like that out of thin air; and it just happens to be inscribed on our data plate in the v-birth. This is way cool!
Mikey, whose aquaintence we just made, text messaged his childhood best friend (who lives in Portland) about his discovery of Hibou. And then emailed the Dr. who is still in good health at 90+ years.
