I'm going back to the boat in San Carlos on September 1st. Checking the cutlass bearing is on the long list for the yard.
I'll report what happens with the bearing.

Finally got the cutlass bearing replaced on Cactus Tree. It was 1 1/8x 1 5/8x 4 1/2. Being in Mexico it only cost double the price on line.
Also had a couple hundred blisters which were not there 3 and a half years ago. Took the hull down to a previous layer of barrier coat/gelcoat, have 4 coats of Amerlock 400 epoxy and am ready to put two coats of Ameron anti-foul. Thinking about putting powdered copper in the anti-foul, it's available here.
