Subject: plan/design for davits on an M31?

I like having a dingy. I don't like in on the cabin top, and there are times when towing it is not ideal. I'm thinking of designing a pair of davit arms out of wood, to hang the dingy off the stern at toe-rail level. Anyone have pics or plans for a similar project?

Hi Lyle,

I remember seeing an article in "Good Old Boat" magazine about how to make your own wooden davits. They were a laminated construction sort of deal if I remember correctly and they looked quite nice and I remember thinking that they'd look good on a mariner. I wish I could tell you what issue it was in but I don't remember. I think it was probably a 2008 issue.
