Looks like you will be having fun this summer. I think after having surgically rebuilt an M31 (aft deck, parts of cockpit, coach aft bulkhead, king beam, etc), that a complete rebuild would be preferable. Just tear it off and start over. When finished, you will not have in the back of your mind that some of that "FEY plywood" is still there, and may need to be replaced in the near future.
