Lawrence,

Good luck on the upgrades. With your help we finally got our masts and booms up and operational. The 40 is such a pretty boat. Unfortunetly I will be pulling Tivoli in two weeks. Please send pics when finished.

I actually like our Sitka Spruce masts and booms, I too would rather not go with alum. If there is anything I can do, dimensions pics anything, please just give me a call

Hi, Mike. Sounds like Tivoli will be just about ready to head for the open ocean, come spring.

I'll send pictures and update this web site when we get TAO re-fitted next spring. I have all sorts of projects lined up -- we'll see just how many we actually get done.

There are good sources for Sitka Spruce out here, so that's what we'll likely use to rebuild the mast. When that's done I'd be glad to sell you my old mast, so you can carry along a spare when you go sailing. Safety first, Mike, and I can tell you have an unlimited budget (as do we all) for sailing.

Thanks for your offer of help, but I think we're OK for now.

Our best to you and Paula and S/V Tivoli
