Well, its not looking to good for me. At least not without some cabinetry cutaway. I need to have the extra room for the feet tiedowns and the heat shielding. Nothing is easy, is it? I am confident that the companionway will not be an issue. Now I just need to decide if I'm willing to tackle such an event. I like the stove too much to give up, and with life plans that will put me up north, it kinda makes sense. The firebox we have on the port bulkhead is nice to take the chill off but my plans require a full on heater. (of course, we can always justify a true "want")

HALIBUT Platform Size Minimums:
26” Wide - Minimum.
( leaves 2” gap between stove & shielding)

18” Deep - Minimum.
( leaves 1” gap between stove & shielding)

NOTE: dimensions take L & R and Rear 1” shielding into consideration plus an
additional 2” each side to access turnbuckle hold-downs.
