If the masts, engine, hull, etc are ok it's a good price. However, realize that if the cockpit/decks are rotten you will probably be redoing almost the entire boat. That includes electrical and plumbing. It's not that it's that difficult a project especially if you have good woodworking skills it's the SCALE that's overwhelming. I wouldn't undertake it personally unless you have someplace to keep the boat while the rebuild is ongoing. My 32 was purchased under similar circumstances to what you're describing and if it wasn't sitting next to my house under cover I would have given up long ago. Whatever you think the project might take in time/money, double it and then add 50% for good measure. I am not kidding. At the end you will have a beautiful boat that you will know intimately and will have the satisfaction of knowing what you did and where it came from. But it's a long road from here to there :-)
