*Her sire, the Sunchaser, was the only one she had left of her family. Her mother had vanished a few weeks earlier.* Dad! *she whickers.* Come meet my new mate!

*His glossy hide ripples over the thick bands of muscle. He slides to a halt, twisted golden horn flashing. He stands proudly on legs tightly bound in iron-hard sinew. Each leg ends in a gleaming solid gold hoof. The stiff, cold wind makes his flowing, silky mane and tail stream behind him like bronze rivers. He bobs his elegant head in greeting and his soft mahogany eyes twinkle.* Hello! I am the Sunchaser, but you may call me Chase. I am proud to see my daughter with such a fine stallion. *He butts the younger steed's shoulder playfully with his strong, dark muzzle.*
