In reply to: Tess/Expresso 's message, "Yay! We have a full herd guys! Well - with the exception of colts - but still :) Oh and Chris*" on 11:59:47 02/19/03 Wed

My stable takes Febuary off lesson-wise, so the horses can have a break, and I'm really missing it. But hey, only, like, what, 9 more days? 8? And then it's March! Yippy! How about for you? How's life?
Luv, Chris

Aw yea, I don't have much tolerance for cold weather, so I usually don't ride too much in the winter anyway, but it's been a while. Life here just got so much more exciting actually!
First of all, I'm not going out with that Brian boy anymore, so it's the single life for me! Even though I'm still missing Frank, he's been kinda weird around me, so I'll just let things go for now.
Other than that, Maria's got a job! She hasn't started yet, but it's a really nice place working with the handicapped, and I don't know, she's REALLY *REALLY* excited about the whole thing, and it's close by so I'll get to visit her lots!
I recently started thinking about our graduation projects - I know the school doesn't really introduce it until the end of this year, mines going to be REALLY elaborate so I decided to start now. I want to do it on the Amish. I've had this interest in them since I was about 12, so I know a lot about them all ready, but I've got my WHOLE project planned out. I'm going to make an Amish style quilt (which I've all ready made one, so I'm getting better), cook an Amish dish, make an Amish doll (they don't have facial features), show clips from the movies The Witness, and Harvest Of Fire, write a research paper, and for the big finally, I want to spend one week of my summer living with the amish & keep a day to day journal. My mom said she wouldn't send me off with a family she didn't know, so I needed to make her feel comfortable enough to do so by getting to know them first. How was I suppose to do that?! My plan was SO far out, until I remembered a book I'd read a while back - Rosanna Of The Amish (about a girl who was adopted by an amish family since she was too young to travel with her dad & other siblings when they had to move, her brother who WASN'T amish wrote the book, his name was Joseph Yoder), so I looked up Joseph Yoder on the internet, and found one. When I called I asked if he had written the book, he said no, his great uncle did! SOOoooo I told him my story & he said he would try to find someone I could correspond with through mail! He's suppose to call me back in a few days. I'm really excited. I just spent the last 2 hours mapping out the quilt I'm going to make. *phew*
So anyway - what's new in Florida?

Love,
Tess

Single life huh? Well I hope that can work for you . . .

Your project sounds AWESOME!!! I bet it'll be really fun for you. I just made out a list of projects, kinda for homeschooling, that I can do when I'm bored. All sorts of cool stuff. Well, I don't have much to say so later, gator!

Yeah - so far single life's treat'n me good. I don't know, I just can't get my mind off Frank :-\ I'm suppose to hang out with him this weekend but ::shrug:: Idk, things haven't quite been the same for us. He's been really different around me lately. I just pray he's ok...
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to my project :) I'm getting all of the materials to make the quilt this weekend! Wooo hooo lol.
Wow, I didn't know you were home schooled. That's gotta be nice to sleep in a little later, get done a little earlier - but I think I'd miss socializing. I have a question...and I don't mean for you to take this personnal, I know some people are sort of touchy about this sort of thing, but what religion are you? Because I know a lot of stricter Christians are homeschooled and I read an old post of yours OOC w/me and you mentioned your dad managing some sort of choir or something? I was just curious.
Anyway, I'm pretty exhausted today, so I think I'm out. I might be on later. Oh - and did you ever get IM? lol, you should if you haven't all ready.
Love ya lots,
Theresa

And what's more, when I tried to use it once, it didn't let me log on. Grr.

Well, you'll find it's pretty hard to offend me! *LOL* I'm not really any religion. I wish I had the stability of believing in a One, cause that would probably make my life much more grounded and happy, but I just don't. I don't wanna offend you (you're Christian right?) but I find Wicca very interesting . . . also Bhuddism and some aspects of Christianity. I try to find steadiness in other things. My paternal grandfather was Christian, so my Dad kinda grew up with that . . . he's not Christian himself but he's always been involved with churches. The church he currently works for is a Unitarian Universilist church, actually.

Hmm, I hope Frank isn't doing drugs or anything! *Gulp!* That would be scary for you. And his family too, probably.
Cya later!
Luv, Chris

That's a bummer about IM. well if you're ever, send a message my way.
WOW - that's SO neat about the whole religion thing. I'm Christian yes, but I don't think it's everyones calling to be Christian - I believe that there's a certain path everyone's suppose to take - christianity is just mine. Actually one of my BEST *BEST **BEST** friends is Wiccan. She's really into the whole spell thingies. She's a cool girl & she definately gets me to be more open to things which is healthy. I don't know a whole lot about Bhuddism actually, it looks interesting, but eh, idk. I love big Italian Catholic families. They make me smile - so I guess I'm pretty glad I come from one :-) They were all pretty bummed when I started going to a Baptist church, I don't know how many times my grandmother & aunt have prayed the Rosary over me lol, but I'm ok. I confuse myself sometimes with how I feel about religion. Sometimes I can be one of the most liberal Christians around, but I've also considered becoming Mennonite - like the kind that covers their head and everything (but the more I think about it, the more I disagree with it) so ::shrug:: idk. There's a section of Corinthians that says, when the Lord calls to you, don't change anything about yourself to serve him - as long as God is first you're ok. I like that. I think no change should need to be made to accomodate love of God, which is all that I think really matters - believing there's something bigger than all of us to unit everyone. That's neat about your dad. My pop isn't big on organized religions, altho I can't say I'm a huge fan either - it's the roots for descrimination and that's just annoying. :-p
Yeah - I don't think it's drugs that's messing with frank - i'm afraid it's worst. I think it's his dad. He told me once that his dads abusive to him, not often, but when he is - it's bad. :-\ We hung out yesterday and it was just like old times - my friend Mal who hung out with us thought we were still together, but then I invited him over today to watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding (excellent movie by the way) and he said no. ::sigh:: I don't think I'll ever have that boy figured out lol. I'm just praying - that's all I can do really.
Anyway, catch ya later.
Love ya lots,
Theresa

... about not changing for God. I like that, too.

Oh my GOD, is it cold today it's soo annoying. I *really* miss riding.

That's good news/bad news about Frank! Good that you don't think it's drugs, but bad about his dad. Really bad. (:-( (That's a worried face . . . does it look worried??? *LOL*)

That is *SO* *COOL* about your friend being Wiccan!! I would like to be Wiccan but I'd really, truly have to believe in the God and the Goddess, and, well, I don't. *Sigh* Too bad.

Hey, you sold your horse right??? Or are you still trying to? If you have sold her, how is life going without her??
TTYL.

Yeah, I think God accepts us all for our own uniqueness, and he wants to see varity - ya know?
Yeah, it's been freezing here too! What state do you live in again? PA here, and it's always so freezing. I heard we're in for ANOTHER huge snow storm. :-\ blah...
Yeah, I think I might ask Frank if he's willing to give us another shot. Lord knows I love that boy more than anything. My mum & his mum both think we're gonna get married, hehe. I don't know about that, but I miss him a lot. Everything seems to remind me of him. It's just that there's NO ONE like Frank, and we fit eachother so perfectly with all of our imperfections - ya know? Lol, I'm such a loser - I have butterflies just think'n about him. and yes, haha, that face does look very concerned ;-)
Yeah - Monique's really into that stuff. She was explaining the all to me at warped tour - and it IS sort of like one god, because she believes there's 2 parts of god - a God, and a Goddess, and they work together in everything. ::shrug:: Idk, if it makes her happy I say go for it...
And yes, I did finally sell Libby - in mid November. It's good though because she went to a girl that goes to my school so whenever I see Rachel I get full updates, and Rachel recently told me that she's only a few hundred dollars away from liberty's surgery :-) I'm glad that Lib's finally being ridden like she should've been - I just never had time, I felt like I was working to pay for her more than spending time with her. I miss her, and haven't had a schedule that matched rachels to visit, but I know she's got a great home & i'm suppose to see her soon, so that's good :-)
Cya
Love,
Theresa

Well, who knows? *Cackles, rubbing hands.* Maybe you and Frank will be marching up the aisle five years or so . . . if you fit him so perfectly, I DEFINITELY hope so!!!

I like the idea of a God and Goddess too . . . seems more equal, ya know? I've definitely been feeling a longing for some kind of religion in the last year or so. My dad told me that when you turn 12 or about there, sometimes you really start liking the idea of religion. However, you can't always find a religious path that fits. Man, don't I know!!

I agree. If I were God (ooo, scary thought!) I wouldn't want every (*blank*) person to be the same!! In fact, there's this saying I like: "God is too big for one religion."

OMG I have to get off in 17 minutes and I still need to do email...cya later.
Luv,

Hahaha, oh man, I can't imagine what kind of marriage we'd have! OK - imagine an old couple, constantly at eachothers throats but love eachother anyway - that's SO gonna be us if we get married lol. And our kids! I can't even fathom what that'd be like. If Frank would have his way they'd all be named Ozzy - even the girls hehe. Actually I was talking to my mum, and if I went out with frank again for as much as a year - I'd marry him at 18 if he asked me. My best friends parents were married at 18 & had their first kid at 19! :-O That's only 3 years away for me! Weird.
Yeah - God & Goddess definately balances things out more. But I prefer to think God is just a being - not male nor female. Heh, sort of like the angel in dogma - "he's" NOTHING. lol Yeah Chris, I sympatize w/ya when you say that it's hard to find a religion that fits. I think we should make up our own! :-D hehe. that'd be the day!
"God is too big for one religion." - I like that too, I'm gonna share that next time someone has some prejudice remark about another religion.
I'll talk to ya later, I'm going to one of my best friends going away party in like 30 minutes (she's going on a 2 week vacation) & I'm not ready & have email and stuff to do. Cya

Love,
Theresa

I dunno, I imagine myself, a geek of 24, a lonely, starving artist in a Paris apartment . . . we'll see.

God is nothing? That's pretty cool. There's this awesome bumper sticker: "My karma ran over your dogma." Heh-heh.

I've been getting into html lately. Check these out: (I'll make 'em big so you can see 'em better.)

Hi Tess!! Cool, huh?

Neat, huh? Well nothing much is up with me so I guess I'll skedaddle for now. cya later.

I think he brings out my more laid back side.I asked him out last night. He said (and I quote) "...I don't want to, but only because I want to be sinle for a while. I mean, later maybe, but I just need some time to be single first." Which works for me. Later = older & older = more ready to settle down, settle down = marriage - so basically he proposed! lol, I'm getting married! hehe. I told this theory to my friend brad who just shook his head & rolled his eyes. lol
Aw, trust me Chris, you're one awesome kid, and you're gonna find some equally awesome girl for ya. Do you have your eye on anyone?
hehe, that's really pretty writing...how do you do that?
