*Rainy, exausted after having the foal and then immediately having to travel, lies down in the shade of a spreading ash and closes her long-lashed eyes gratefully. Sunny begins to graze near her daughter.*

*Cloudy, meanwhile, prances curiously through the long grass, her eyes bright with wonder at everything she sees: daisies, butterflies, moths, trees, sky, stream, the adult unicorns and horses--so much to see, so much to learn! She flicks her fluffy tail and bounces down to a bubbling, chuckling stream. She frowns at the glittering water, and dips a tiny hoof cautiously.* It's cold! *she squeaks to a passing bluette moth, and jumps back in surprise. Then she dips the hoof again, and slowly wades in, getting used to the feel. She nickers with pleasure and splashes about, neighing softly in contentment as the warm sun relaxes her muscles.*
