Subject: OLDTIMERS REVIEW OF SC PRELIMS

The competition is fierce, to say the least.

My favorites for the title are based on last nights prelims, and I strongly feel the winner will be decided in interview.

TEEN:

Zais and Sporrer are the two standouts with perfect swimsuits and gowns. They radiated the stage. Ashley Zais looked more like a national teen winner, so my vote is there.

Horton, Cannon, Fraum, Hayes, Price, and Bishop follow.

Other noteworthy contenders for top twelve are Wooten, Beckwith, Garrett, Pelzer, and McElveen. With a solid interview today, Evans, Stephens, Parker, Cox, Cannon, or Brown may rearrange the apple cart.

(YES, I am shocked that I don't have Wooten a solid contender, but she seemed a little off in swimsuit, and these others were in FANTASTIC shape. Her dress also cut her in two making her look even shorter. Interview may wipe her slate clean and she could be my "come from behind winner".)

MISS:

Shoe ins for top are Boyce, Gray, Hoeban, Grooms, Kirkpatrick, Morris, Pennekamp, Smalls, Todd, Williamson, and Williford. Unless they BOMB today in interview, the race will be on for the top five spots.

Bailes and Ferrara are noteworthies. Must admit I am disappointed in the stage presence of Ferrara. She is beautiful offstage, but just doesn't sparkle once on it. Wouldn't be surprised if she was overlooked.

Tonight should be very interesting. My personal faves are Grooms and Morris. Hope they have there game faces on and are the last two standing.

BTW...am I the only one who finds it inappropriate the Grooms has a "special jig" in the opening number? Maybe if she wasn't a past queen or heavy contender I wouldn't be so jealous...but it bothers me she has been singled out like that.

Good luck to all of the beautiful delegates. No matter the outcome, South Carolina is sure to be made proud.
