I spent today trying to read all posts and delete anything that I considered inappropriate.

This can be a frustrating situation to monitor, as I feel very passionate about our freedom of speech and the rights that others have to be informed of any discrepancies involving the legitimacy of the outcome in pageants.

My intentions are NOT to defame the character of anyone, including State/Local Directors. My mission has been to create a forum where ideas, information, and opinions can be shared in order to educate, inform, and share with others who enjoy the art of pageantry.

Unfortunately, all who post do not do so with integrity...and my frustrations with them have even caused me to fight fire with fire.

It has saddened me that many have used this board as a measure to carry out personal vendettas and sabatoge contestants, pageants, and sponsors of the program we all love so much.

Although, I have never and WILL NEVER reveal known posters, you can rest assured that MANY different types post on this frequently. Directors, fans, queens, sponsors, parents, and contestants all enjoy posting and I welcome each of you.

I will no longer allow posts to remain that are only speculation about someone's character. I strongly feel that freedom of speech does not entitle one to make up vicious lies or theories that are posted only to destroy someone's reputation.

Please note that this will NOT exclude posts that contain FACTUAL information that is deemed reliable and true. If our queen shoplifts, I will allow posting about it. If judges are not appropriate or there are other PROVEN discrepancies or questionable practices, I will allow it.

I am certain that deletion will at times be controversial and I will welcome your comments and opinions concerning this. Please email me at southernpageantchatter@hotmail.com if you need further explanations or have any comments that you would like to share.
