Here is an interesting story I have been following regarding Eddie Cochran.
Recently a lot of Cochran‘s personal belongings were listed on eBay and fetching some nice prices.
The story is that someone purchased at auction a storage unit containing Cochran’s personal belongings that had been in his mothers home.
Some of the items in the huge collection are eddies gold records, signed autographed photos, awards, clothing, signed bank checks, letters and photos of and from Sharon Sheeley, and a vast amount of acetates.
These acetates are of his well known songs but also recordings of demos and other rarities.

Sonny West a musician and fan of Cochran’s from the UK was also watching the random selling on eBay so he contacted the sellers and purchased the remainder to be used in a museum exhibit called Eddies Room.

The items had been treasured by the Cochran family and kept in Eddies room untill Mrs Cochran’s passing in 1994 and Eddies sister Glorias passing in 1999. The items were sent to a storage unit were I’m guessing were forgotten.
The kicker was that all of these things were considered possible junk and bought at a storage locker auction for $300.00
