Subject: Non-Buddy Holly vocals on "Buddy Holly" albums? Author: Mike [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Wed May 26, 2021 21:06:21 I recently picked up a cassette titled "Buddy Holly: A Rock & Roll Collection" (24 songs on it, I'm guessing it was also released as a double vinyl album)... Anyway, it includes "Love's Made a Fool of You", however, it is the version by the post-Holly Crickets with Earl Sinks on vocals... I'm wondering if anyone can give any more examples of this, where the post-Holly Crickets version of a song might have been included on a compilation that was released just under Buddy's name? I know there's only three songs that were recorded with Buddy vocals that were also recorded by the post-Holly Crickets, those being "Love's Made a Fool of You" and "Ting-A-Ling" both with Earl Sinks on vocals, and "Peggy Sue Got Married" with David Box on vocals...
