I've seen no evidence, although there has been some talk of it.

There is also evidence that L.O Holley may have been weary; as he did get Buddy to sign the deeds for the property that he bought for the recording studio, before the marriage took place, so the future bride would have no claim on it.

I can understand there may have been some concern on L.O's part, as Buddy was supposed to be incorporating a house for both L.O and Ella in the plans for the property. The last thing he'd want is to lose his house if the marriage went pear-shaped and potentially wind up temporarily homeless.

I would image MESHDH would have been most uncooperative and vindictive in such a situation, if her past behaviour and actions are anything to go by. As it turned out; MESHDH sold the property following Buddy's death, so there is the question of how she was legally able to do so as she had no claim on the land. Perhaps as there were no buildings, the Holley family simply let it go through to the keeper as it wasn't worth the hassle?

All this aside, I am a firm believer in the saying: "Where there is smoke, there is fire". I guess it depends on whether or not there is a researcher willing enough to jump down that particular rabbit hole as to whether or not we'll ever know for sure.
