 Okay, let me try again.

The "Clear Lake" movie focuses on Holly’s 1958 Biggest Show of Stars tour, which featured Little Anthony & The Imperials co-founder Clarence Collins, and the movie concludes with the rock legend’s 1959 death in a plane crash outside Clear Lake, Iowa.

You seem to think this film is exclusively about the last tour. It's not.

I find the title odd, because it gives the incorrect impression they've made a film about the WDP.

Anyway, I doubt this movie will be made anytime soon. As I said in a different thread, the Bob Dylan "Going Electric" biopic was cancelled because of COVID (they can't have an "audience" full of movie extras packed tightly together) so if this Buddy Holly project happens at all, it probably won't be for a while.

Also, integrated tours were nothing new at the time of Alan Freed's package tours. A decade earlier, Frank Sinatra toured with an integrated band, and insisted his musicians be treated with the same respect he received.
