 This has become a mystery that I really would appreciate an answer to.
It had been my understanding that many years ago, Buddy's widow, Maria, not only caused the City of Lubbock to stop naming an annual music festival Buddy Holly Music Festival unless she was paid a big bunch of money plus 15% of revenue, but that she had also caused the city to remove street signs that said Buddy Holly Ave unless she was paid.

So now, inside an Antique store in Oklahoma City is, for sale, a regular size green street sign that is Buddy Holly Ave. The store's owner says he used to live in Lubbock and he got ahold of the street sign. So, my thinking is that it must be one of the signs along that street that was removed by Lubbock city employees, because of Mrs Holly's greed.

Can someone please tell me what is going on with this?
Is this sign just a souvenir that there are hundreds of scattered everywhere under the sun?
