Was his name Diaz? The reason I ask is because it seems the story has always been that she married a Puerta Rican politician named Diaz. Then, when the movie with Gary Busey came out, she had her name changed back to Holly and got the Buddy Holly Law enacted in the State Legislature in Austin, Tx, so that she could start collecting her infamous 15%.
It seems the light bulb in her monetized brain clicked on when Busey gave her $250,000 for Buddy's Gibson acoustic guitar.
