Thank you for your responses to my post. I have looked at the Not Fade Away list of tracks and a very quick count of recordings that are designated, undubbed, incomplete, alternate version and the like, total around 22/23.These are the numbers that Bill gave me during our discussions. I do not know HOW he knew the number unless Hoffman gave the information to Vi and she passed it on to Bill. Vi had only recently passed away in 1992 but Bill gave me the impression that he had been aware of the tracks existence since 1986. I assume this is actually when Vi called MCA as Norman had passed in 1984 and she was still rummaging through the boxes in the basement! The long delay in getting these tracks to the public, very likely had to do with the administrators of Buddy's estate and MCA recording rights. Maria Elena is known for her very strict controls and would no doubt want to exercise any prerogatives she may have. Anyway, I think we must all accept that there are NO MORE of Buddy's recordings in existence and I can now put the matter to rest in my own mind. Thank you again for your input.
