 I wasn't there but I doubt they'd do that song in '59 on stage. I often saw Tommy play and sang it on tour, usually with Johnny or Kevin. He did an even better bluesy/jazz style solo on True Love Ways, incorporating licks inspired by years of session work and his Western Swing background. Tommy always had a guitar in his hand, even at breakfast and I even saw him playing without his hat on once, which was rare indeed.
