Bo Diddley - Fireballs overdubs; the original takes are fine in their own right, but without those dubs neither would have charted to such high positions in the UK charts #3 & #4 respectively - they were going up against a wall of sound in 1963, the Beatles, Stones, Swinging Blue Jeans and somebody at Coral was smart enough to realise that if Buddy was to compete with that, they'd better jump on the bandwagon and give those takes a bit of muscle. It worked. As Buddy said in that Red Robinson interview, he'd 'jump on the trend'...the alternative would be to starve.
Hanson: George Harrison seems to think CWH was okay, so if it's good enough for a Beatle....?
