an interesting post!

My favourite of all time has always struck me as a perfect example of how timeless Buddy Holly is, and, I'm optimistic, always will be.

It's a solo close up of Buddy in a dark suit in mid guitar solo. The only small flaw is that part of his strat is out of frame.

I love the shot because at a quick glance, it could be a snap of Elvis Costello, Marshall Crenshaw, or any one of a number of much more recent performers.

Much of the reason for that is is Buddy's massive influence
both overt and subconscious on so many rockers that have followed.

it's a great action shot, Buddy was by then sporting his classic black frames.

My other fave is the only one of the 13 or so Bruno session pics that I think captures his personality. Buddy is looking straight in to the lens, hands on hip, with a confident smile, while wearing a cool cable knit sweater.

Occasionally I will be surprised by something I have not seen previously, but other than 2 or 3 of the pics from the final tour, none have had the same impact as the two I have described.
