Personally, I like the act to sound like their records, however, they don't need to be dead on recreations-I mean if they're going to sound exactly like the records, then you might as well stay home and listen to the records... That, or if they sound exactly like the recordings, you have to wonder if they're actually performing live or lip-synching... I do like some showmanship involved in the concert too...

As far as loudness, I've only been to a few where it was extremely loud to the point where it felt like dental work would come loose... The rest were loud enough to be heard wherever you were in the venue, but not so loud that they were teeth rattling... Some I've been to at the casino lounge were loud enough that they could be heard say 20 to 30 feet from the lounge, but anything further than that you really couldn't hear anything but the normal noise of the slot machines...
