My guess is that if given a chance, most who visit this forum will enjoy this song. To my ear, it gets all the elements right, including production style of the recording.
My question to everyone is: which singer from the past does this vocal delivery most remind you of? One of the first voices I thought of was Gene Pitney, but his register was a bit to high.
In more recent times, a fair comparison could be made to Chris Isaak.
If any of you come up with the voice that I am hearing in my head, I'm sure I will kick myself for not remembering.
