 The superb master of the Stratocaster guitar, Jeff Beck, has died. Without argument, one of the greatest guitarists of the entire rock era, Mr. beck has been quoted many times as having devoured and learned from the music of Buddy Holly, and by association, the late Tommy Allsup.
Never one to covet the limelight, Mr. Beck nonetheless
achieved fame beyond his peers in the guitar playing world.
The Yardbirds, superb solo albums, association with Rod Stewart, brilliant session work, guest appearances on a vast range of albums by others, his proficient blend of genre, earned Mr. Beck the laudatory and entirely deserved label of genius among guitar greats.
