I'm less optimistic as I grow older and grayer but now and then I still hope more video will surface of Buddy & the Crickets on TV.

They were in the American west coast (Buddy in sunglasses) when they did some TV. And of course the UK clips, "Maybe Baby" and "I'm Gonna Love You, Too" performances. Sunday Night at the Paladium, etc. Wouldn't it be great if these were discovered in some vault somewhere?

When someone tells me "TV shows weren't preserved back then so those clips are gone forever" I wonder why I can see SO MANY youtube clips of 1950s television: Old comedy shows. Singers and jazz performances. Even R&R acts on the Beechnut Dick Clark show. Three Stooges on the Ed Wynn show, 1954. etc. But not Buddy & the Crickets.
