I consider myself to be one of the younger fans, and I myself am turning 49 this year. Time and tide stops for nobody, unfortunately.

Buddy's music will always be listened ro and will always keep its place in the history of music. He will never lose that. They'll all be remembered. I think the thing is that it appears there is nothing else to come out and discover. It would be great if new footage, or recordings were discovered, but considering it's now been 66 years since Buddy died, and Ritchie and Jape, it's pretty certain that we've extinguished all that was to come out.
The new 'La Bamba' movie will stoke the flames a little, and may catch some new interest from younger fans, like the first movie did. Let's hope so.
All we can do is carry on and still enjoy the music, if you were there back when it was happening...great, appreciate those times that are sadly long gone. You were so lucky to witness it first hand!

And the musicians will continue to be fascinated by Buddy and the others. I'll still enjoy playing Buddy Holly on my guitar...its my relaxation, and I'll never stop that.

It's almost 70 years since Buddy Holly & The Crickets burst onto the scene with 'That'll Be The Day'. 70 years is a really long time for something to remain important and retain peoples interest and attention. But Buddy Holly, a kid from Lubbock, Texas who was only really in the public eye for 2 years (Ritchie Valens was only 8 konths) actually achieved this. When you look at it like that, it's amazing. 2 years and he's remained in the public eye all these years later. He's never been forgotten, and he never, ever will be.

We may be getting less, but Buddy will not be forgotten. As long as music and guitars exist, Buddy Holly is right there. There's no way he couldve imagined this all those years ago.

Buddy Holly Lives.
