Jay Richardson had given his blessings to both Bill Griggs and Randy Steele to share their accounts of the day and Jay even had media involved as well. The exhumation and examination were a huge part of the story, second only to Jay getting to see his father for the first time. If we are to report the details of the day, the examiner's warning about the odor issue and the verification of said odor are a part of the story. The one line of decorum / respect that was not crossed is that photos and video of The Bopper's body were not permitted to be shared. Because of Jay's consent, I do not feel that it is disrespectful in any way, especially when details of the condition of the bodies at the crash site have been discussed at length here for decades.
