Your statement contradicts itself. To be tolerant means to show respect for others, despite your personal differences, whether you agree with them or not. A bigot is defined as a person who is intolerant of others. This intolerance is found in matters of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious or political ideals and so on.

I don't call everyone who disagrees with homosexuality a bigot -- only those who are intolerant.

If someone came up to me and said they might not agree with my lifestyle but still treated me with the respect and human decency to which I am entitled, I'd have no problem with that. It is the extremists, who want to change others [for reasons that can't be changed and are not any of their business anyway] that I have problems with.

Incidentally, I stated that I am neither anti-family nor anti-heterosexual several posts back. Either you did not read it or have run out of clever arguments. I'm not going to repeat it for you. Go back and read it again. You should also reread the following, well-written post by FleetAdmiralJ:
