The subject matter of last weeks show was obviously one that inspires reactions in people. I don't understand why Marla and Steven were having such a difficult time with the word being studied and talked about. The was Danny was discussing it was open and up front without prejudice. I found in fascinating that there is so much anger still over the mention of the word. I imagine if I was black I would have a better understanding. I have never used the word and don't agree with anyone using ANY word to degrade anyone else. There doesn't seem to be any word that carries the same venom toward any other race or nationality. I would love to be able to talk freely with someone who is African American to hear their views as honestly as the kids on the show expressed theirs.
