I completely understood Lauren's need for comfort. That was the supposed driving force behind her asking to sleep with Scott.

But, I would have seen her asking if she could come over to his apartment to talk/have dinner (maybe a glass of wine). I could have seen the two of them on the sofa talking, and him comforting her. I honestly could have even seen the two of them simply falling asleep in eachothers arms. As a matter of fact, that would have been a nice way to end the scene for the season with the two of them.
