Well, as you may recall from last season, Marla got in trouble for slamming on Garbage Men and custodians. She told her students that if they didn't work hard in school that they could all look forward to picking up garbage for the rest of their lives. It turned out that one of her students was the son of a garbage man.

However, that particular part of that episode, much like this one, was to open the eyes of the teachers with how wrong their preconceived notions about certain careers are.

Marla went on to appologize to the man who was a garbage man (who owned his own home by the way). The new pretty idiot male teacher went on to appologize to the bus driver (previously known as the Shoe-Lady) and told her that she should consider teaching.

I think it also worth noting, however, that this particular bus driver came in telling this teacher that what he was teaching her daughter was basically useless. So, from a territorial standpoint, she slammed his work as well. Does she just want her daughter to learn enough to 'get a job'?

All points worth pondering

Though...overall..I am dissapointed in the season thus far as well. My fingers are crossed. If things don't improve by thanksgiving, I'm pretty sure they will lose me as a viewer.
