And I remember when they *never* let you know a show was being cancelled--even when you were an actor on it.

I don't think anyone at Fox is worried about American Idol losing steam. I haven't watched it myself, but it has consistently been at the top of all the ratings charts whenever it airs.

BP's ratings have been suffering for a long time now--ever since Meredith the Happy Hook Lady. You might have watched it, but few other people have been. It's not as if we didn't see this coming. As soon as they moved it to Friday night, I posted that this would be the last season. Fox has *never* made an effort to dominate Friday nights--with the exception of X-Files, I can't think of any Fox show that has survived on Friday evenings for more than a season. It's where Fox sends shows to die. Or, in the case of Firefly, to be moiderized.
