Subject: Scott actually wasn't in the ep all that much, but here's a summary of his plot...

Danny confronts a very stressed out Debbie about not showing up at the pool. When Debbie lists all the tests that are coming up for her, Danny suggests to her that she not worry about the Faulkner reading for his final. One of his other students overhears that conversation and goes to Steven and Scott to complain that Debbie is getting unfair tips on exams because of her relationship with Danny outside of class. Steven and Scott question Danny about it, and Danny seems genuinely shocked that a complaint has been made. (I don't believe it was his intention to give Debbie an unfair advantage) Steven tells Scott to talk to Debbie. Debbie tells Scott that other teachers give tips on their exams during their special tutoring sessions (sessions you apparently have to pay for), including Lauren Davis. Scott then goes to question Lauren, who is highly indignant at his probes and blows him off. Scott then asks Marla and Ronnie to talk to some of the students who attend special tutoring sessions to get a better sense of what is going on. They come back with the conclusion that students who pony up the dough for this extra help may have an edge, and they suggest that Scott conduct a fuller investigation into the matter. Scott brings this to Steven's attention, and while Steven is willing to implement a policy barring teachers from tutoring their own students in order to prevent a conflict of interest, he is unwilling to allow an investigation because "it would be like 'Examgate'". "So what, we're just going to sweep this under the rug?" Steven tells him that they will try to fix things as they move forward. "It's not honest!" Steven repeats that they should be focusing on the future, and Scott says again, "It's not honest." But Steven won't move, and Scott walks out.

The look on his face was very interesting there- like JessKay said at TWoP, it wasn't an angry expression so much as a mixture of surpise, confusion and disappointment. He was wearing his reading glasses through most of that scene, which, as I said, REALLY enhanced his attractiveness. That, however, is difficult to convey in print medium. Perhaps someone has the capability to do screen captures? ;)
