Subject: Question of the Week / Missing episodes!

In response to the question "Why did you start watching BOSTON PUBLIC?"... well, I tend to enjoy a lot of David E. Kelly's shows (ALLY MCBEAL and GIRLS CLUB being exceptions), so that was one plus. Also, I'm a teacher and it's nice to see teachers for once portrayed on TV as something more than idiots or the "bad guys." I was hooked from the beginning, relating (unfortunately) VERY well to the character of Harry Senate and I was disappointed to see Nicky Katt leave the series.

As far as criticism from people who say the show is unrealistic... yes, there are times it's a little over the top (the hook, for starters), and I doubt that a lot of schools have that many major evenets in one day. But I doubt too many ER rooms see the amount of drama that NBC's does, either. For those of us who have worked in a public school, especially a large one, a lot of it hits close to home.

One last thing... would anyone happen to have episodes 40 and 41 (off the top of my head I think those are the ones I'm missing)? I loaned the tape to a friend and haven't seen it again. I'm willing to pay for a good copy of them. I would be happy to do an episode swap, but one of my two VCRs is just a small one for my bedroom and isn't the best for copying. (Of course if you can live with that, I'll be glad to swap episodes.) If so, you can just email me at "doogerl1@aol.com"
