Dave- After dealing with the administration at my school in trying to get this GSA started, I have a new appreciation for Fox for airing that. (While the admins at my school are liberal, they're afraid of the parents who aren't in that mindset..) It's good to know that some else got chocked up at the end ^_^

Sean- Hmm... And so it wouldn't be okay even to talk about homosexuality in a neutral context, in order to teach people about it (without making judgements?) Gee... I'm sorry but what if I find your interpretation of history offends me? Then we shouldn't talk about that. And what if I find the Bing Bang Theory offensive? Then we better not talk about that. And we better not talk about sex at all, it might give people ideas. You know, with STD's running rampant, we shouldn't give students the knowledge to protect themselves in the very least... This is the same mentality that kept segregation alive for so long in the US. This is the same mentality that would have students not know how to protect themselves against STDs and then blame the spread of STDs bisexuals, who, of course, must have carried them over from homosexuals.

I do agree with you that religion should be kept out of public schools and that morals should be left for parents to teach; however, no one's forced to go to a GSA. You know, homophobism is just like racism... It's just easier to justify with religion. The difference between racists and homophobics, though, is that racists usually keep their mouths shut when there's a Black Student Union or what not, while homophobics can get away with making a ruckus about GSA's.

I edited a little of the more controversial parts of this post just for you. And I would say I'm sorry if this post offends anyone, but frankly, Sean, your post offended me.

>A school is not a place to discuss sexuality
>especially the perversion of homosexuality. let the
>parents talk to thier children about sexuality and let
>the public schools focus on math, science, history,
>reading, drama, etc
