Subject: Fan Writers Wanted

Hi. My name is Bob and a group of us are planning to launch a new fan magazine dedicated to American, British and Canadian television - past, present and future. I'm looking for individuals who might be interested in writing on Boston Public and/or other tv series for the magazine.

From January 1992 to May 2001, the original Jigsaw magazine covered the world of science fiction television. But soon after the publication of issue 45, it was decided that Jigsaw would cease publication. Now here we are today in May 2003 and it has been decided to resurrect the magazine for the 21st century. While the original Jigsaw primarily concentrated on sci-fi TV, the new Jigsaw will be covering all aspects of American, British and Canadian television from yesterday, today and tomorrow. The new Jigsaw will debut in the second half of 2003 with issue 46 featuring in-depth articles, opinion pieces, interviews, reviews, spotlights, insightful discussion and more - all of the hallmarks that made the original magazine one of fandom’s favorites.

As I mentioned above, I'm looking for individuals who might be interested in contributing to the magazine. I'm primarily looking for good quality articles on all aspects of television from in-depth series overviews/history, reviews, opinion pieces, etc that are thought provoking, insightful, and interesting, but most of well well written. I'm sure you'll understand that as this will be a fan publication, we won't be working with a big budget. Unfortunately at this time we won't be able to pay contributors for their work. But, what we can offer is a venue for your writing to be published in, exposure to readers in Canada, the United States and the UK, and a contributors copy of the issue that your material appears in.

I hope that this will be something that you'll be interested in. If you'd like more information, please visit the Jigsaw website at http://jigsaw.tvheaven.com. The site is very much in its infancy stages, but there is some basic information there that should answer any questions you might have. But, if you have any other questions, or comments, please feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to answer your questions.

I hope to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Bob
