Sadly, I like Sherry P never saw a FTLOSM concert. I did have tickets and was actually half way to the concert when my husband and I heard on the car radio that the show had been cancelled. We found the nearest pay phone(no cell phone back then) and called the venue to make sure the DJ was right.Boy,was I crushed! I think the venue got very tired of me because I kept calling them for weeks to see if the show was going to be rescheduled.
I too have the NY and a Los Angeles video, mine are actually pretty good quality, and I have watched them sooooo many times that sometimes I forget that I was never really there!
I was lucky enough to see the classic line up twice and broke down this summer and went and saw the current line up. They were very good but I left feeling sad,there was something missing. I know....STEVE PERRY! It just wasn't the same and the desire to see the "new" Journey again is not there.
HOWEVER....I love the FTLOSM videos,Steves voice, emotion,and personality shines thru and the band complimented it perfectly.Steve does not just sing a song,he sings it from his heart and it shows. I would and will travel anywhere to see him again.And you can bet I would be buying tickets at more than one venue. Not taking ANY chances if this opportunity comes around again!
